Hawaii State Hospital – Oahu, HI

Located on Oahu in the city of Kaneohe, HSH's mission is to provide safe, integrated, evidence-based psychiatric treatment and rehabilitation to individuals suffering from mental illness and co-occurring disorders.  Self directed recovery and community reintegration are the primary goals.

We must receive the below paperwork 10 days before orientation:

  • Copy of CPR Card w/ AED
  • 2-Step PPD
  • MMR
  • Chicken Pox (Varicella) (2-Doses required if titer is negative)
  • Initial Health Screen

John Umstead Hospital – Butner, NC

The hospital is presently 611 beds that service the 16 counties of the North Central Region. The hospital's primary purpose is to provide an inpatient facility to diagnose and treat persons with psychiatric disorders, to restore them to an optimal level of functioning, and to return them to the community. This service is provided for clients' age 6 years and up.

All Nurses must agree to the terms of Red Dot Coverage prior to assignment at this facility.  Nurses will be assigned one red dot shift per week to assist in guaranteeing appropriate coverage.  If the Agency Nurse has a red dot by their name and someone calls off for the oncoming shift and the absence causes the shift to go below the safe minimum numbers, the nurse with the red dot will have to stay and work that shift.

Oregon State Hospital, with campuses in Salem and Portland, is the state’s primary state-run psychiatric facility for adults. The State Hospital delivers high-quality inpatient psychiatric and medical care to patients through Forensic Psychiatric Services for patients who are judged guilty except for insanity and Psychiatric Recovery Services for civilly committed patients.
